WHAT WE’RE DOING TO HELP KEEP OUR MEMBERS SAFE
Your health is our top priority and in accordance with governmental orders and guidelines, we have devised a carefully planned, phased approach to reopening Optima Health and Fitness.
Members must not attend the gym if they are unwell, have symptoms of COVID-19, suspect they may have been infected with COVID-19 (including close contact with a person diagnosed with COVID-19) or been advised by health authorities to self isolate.
We are taking the measures we are implementing very seriously and if staff observe anyone not following the hygiene rules and safety measures we have implemented they will have a quiet word with you and ask you to leave for that workout/class if necessary.
We urge members to let management know if you observe someone not following the rules, eg. not wiping equipment down or not using a towel.
We must all do our part to beat COVID-19 so please follow the rules and guidelines set out by the Government and Optima Health and Fitness management.
Self Cleaning Stations
Disinfect spray and paper towel are readily available throughout the gym to wipe equipment down.
We have hand sanitiser stations conveniently located throughout the club including the entrance of the gym. Sanitisation of hands on entry is mandatory.
Additional Cleaning
Continuous cleaning of high-touch surfaces through the club.
Social Distancing
We are taking careful actions to facilitate social distancing throughout the club. Look for extra signs to guide you through each space and to remind us all of the practice of social distancing.
Important Things To Remember Prior To Entry
You must scan your membership fob every time you enter the gym.
Scanning your membership fob is crucial as well as QR coding so that we can assist health authorities with contact tracing if need be. If you have lost your membership fob please see Reception during staffed hours to organise a replacement one for only $20.
Please note: we are implementing cashless card for payments wherever possible.
Bring a clean towel, your own water bottle and your own exercise mat.
Every member MUST bring a towel to the gym for all workouts including classes, weights and cardio workouts. We will ask anyone who does not have their towel to either purchase on from Reception for $5 or to return home to retrieve their own.
Please bring your own water bottle or purchase bottled water from Reception for $1.
Please BRING YOUR OWN EXERCISE MAT with you for classes or workouts that require one. We will not have mats for use on the gym floor in any classes.
If you require a blanket for Yoga, Pilates or Body Balance for meditation please bring your own. We will not be providing blankets during this time.
Mixed Gym and Ladies Boutique Studio
All workout areas used outside of classes will be monitored to ensure social distancing.
Cardio equipment has been spaced for social distancing.
Enhanced cleaning protocols.
Sanitisation cleaning stations are in place with disinfectant spray and hand sanitiser.
All members to clean their equipment before and after every use and are asked to ensure cleansing of hands before and after workouts.
Group Fitness Classes
Class numbers will be as per government orders and guidelines.
Hand sanitisation stations in all fitness studios in which you are required to sanitise before and after your class.
Social distancing must be strictly adhered to in ALL group fitness sessions.
Bookings can be made 2 days advance. Please ensure you cancel your booking if you are not able to attend ASAP. We will be sending polite texts to members reminding them that they must cancel if they do not do so.
How To Set Up Your Account, Book/Cancel Classes:
1. Click on ‘Book Classes Online’ through website.
2, Click on relevant studio, Group Fitness, Cycle or Revolution.
3. Click on class you wish to book.
4. If already registered log in with email & password.
5. If new user create New Registration and fill in relevant details, you will receive an email to verify registration, once you have clicked on that you can go back onto website and book.
6. Book for required class.
7. To cancel click on class and press X next to your name.
Bathrooms and Lockers
WHAT YOU CAN DO TO PROTECT YOURSELF AND OTHERS
YOUR MEMBERSHIP
During any government mandated lockdown all memberships are automatically suspended and then will re-activate when permitted to re-open. Your next direct debit will commence when your next one would have normally been due to ensure that we keep in line with your original scheduled billing dates. The term of memberships for paid in full members has been extended for the period of time that we were closed.
If you placed your membership on hold at a date greater than the lockdown period then your membership will remain on hold until the date you specified. If you would like to return to the gym earlier than the suspension date you originally requested then please email us at admin@optimafitness.com.au to take your membership off hold. Otherwise, your membership will remain on hold until the date you specified and you will be unable to gain access to the gym.
We acknowledge that some members may not be ready to return to the gym yet. To suspend your membership please click on the Suspend membership button under the Membership tab or send an email to admin@optimafitness.com.au with the date you wish the suspension to end and Reception will confirm in writing once your request has been processed. During these unprecedented times, we will continue to review our suspension terms.
We are currently waiving suspension fees during this time, minimum suspension is two weeks and maximum three months but if you wish to suspend longer we can review toward the end of the three months..
